World War One is often a difficult period to represent. The thought of mud, trenches and the scale of engagement suggests a challenge. However, the period, when broken down provides limitless amounts of creative representations around the world. I spent a great deal of time looking at East Africa pre YouTube days and over time I will post the pictures, but just one so far.

Instead I have included a link to a very recent game, a 1914 action in Belgium using “One Hour Wargames” rules. The whole game in ten minutes, and lots of enjoyment throughout.
